Queen:
Benevolent, kindly, charming, of high intelligence, beautiful and the horniest queen ever. She is slightly power-hungry within preferring peace, a good diplomat, handy with a weapon or two, and her parents raised her to rule a kingdom without a king if she needed to.  She does not handle death well. She needs to marry to be to have a male heir. But, she prefers to not marry. She tries to avoid it. She wants to keep power and, once the knight and she falls in love she wants only him. Her current age is early thirties. She is a treaty wife and owns connections to countless royal houses.

Ruler:
She needs to rule. The king and his only son had been slaughtered on the battlefield in trying to protect foreign lands. She either rules the kingdom, or she will be a pawn. She chooses the power and in turn, she gifts power to her most loyal knight.

Allies:
Her brother now rules her father's kingdom. He wants to keep her as the ruler of the dead husband's kingdom due to keeping treaties and maintaining peace amongst the surrounding nations.

Knight:
I see the knight/guard as submissive to only her will, power and energy. Passionately loyal and capable of anything that he sets his focus upon.

Kink:
Their relationship might have kink elements.
Sample: Bondage, restrained from serving( discipline, teasing and ideas of adventure ). Tied when she demands to have control. Maybe binding him to her or something else is too appease those feelings of others trying to control. It would gift strength, balance and settle her emotions.

Relationship:
It seems to demand erotic intertwined with romance. It could hold intimacy, eroticism, daring, forbidden things, friendship, and a zealous passion within a fiery connection. Passionate but forbidden lust and love. It is not permitted. For, if it becomes known, then she does not maintain power.
